# Use CallForMe in Claude Code

> Run claude mcp add --transport http --scope user callforme https://callforme.tel/mcp in your terminal. Then run /mcp, pick callforme and choose Authenticate. A tab opens and closes by itself. Your first real call shows one setup link.

Claude Code is the fastest place to try CallForMe. One command adds the MCP server, and the server tells Claude how to plan a call, place it, answer the business's questions mid-call, and read back the result.

## Install

### One command

From your terminal:

```

Add `--scope user` to make it available in every project instead of just the current one. Check it with `claude mcp list`, or run `/mcp` inside a session, where you'll also authenticate (below).

### Or commit it to a project

Commit a `.mcp.json` at your repo root so everyone on the project gets it:

## Connecting your account

After adding the server, run `/mcp` inside Claude Code, pick `callforme`, and choose **Authenticate**. A browser tab opens and closes by itself. There's no email, no form and no card. That creates your CallForMe account, and Claude Code remembers it for every session in that scope.

## Your first call

The only other step comes once, the first time Claude places a real call. CallForMe answers with a short setup link like `https://callforme.tel/go/k7m2q`, and Claude shows it to you.

1. Open the link. It shows the exact call about to be placed: who, what number, and the goal.
2. Add $10. Your card is saved and auto-reloads, so you won't see this page again. Creators can claim credit with their email instead.
3. The page says you're done. Tell Claude to continue, and the phone starts ringing.

After that, every session just calls. If you later add CallForMe to a second agent, its first call link recognizes you (when you're signed in on that browser) and links it to your account in one click, with no second payment. More in [how setup links work](/docs/setup-links).

## If Authenticate doesn't show up

Use a key instead. Create one on the [account page](https://callforme.tel/account), then add the server with a header:

## FAQ

### Do I have to authenticate in every project?

No. Claude Code stores the sign-in, so later sessions reuse it. Add the server with --scope user to make it available in every project.

### Does Claude Code need to stay open during the call?

Claude polls get_call while the call runs so it can answer questions from the business. If you close the session, the call keeps going and you can fetch the result later with get_call or list_calls.

### Can Claude place several calls at once?

Yes. Each place_call is independent, so Claude can start calls to several businesses and then poll them. The quotes prompt is built for this.

### Where does the call come from?

From CallForMe's number, +1 (469) 966-0062. Pass callback_number if you want the business to be able to reach you directly.
