# Use CallForMe in Continue

> Add a server to Continue's mcpServers config with type streamable-http and the URL https://callforme.tel/mcp/k/<your key>, using a key from callforme.tel/account. No key yet? Use https://callforme.tel/mcp/open instead: the first real call returns a setup link to add $5. Then ask Continue's agent to make a call.

Continue's agent can already search and edit your code. With CallForMe connected, it can also pick up the phone: get a quote, check if an order is ready, or sit on hold for you.

## Install in Continue

1. Create a key on the [account page](https://callforme.tel/account) (or skip this and use the open URL below).
2. Add CallForMe under `mcpServers` in your Continue config, or as a file in `.continue/mcpServers/` at the top of your workspace:

```yaml
name: CallForMe
version: 0.0.1
schema: v1
mcpServers:
  - name: callforme
    type: streamable-http
    url: https://callforme.tel/mcp/k/<your key>
```

3. Reload Continue and switch to agent mode. The CallForMe tools (`find_business`, `plan_call`, `place_call`, `get_call` and the rest) show up in its tool list.

The `type` and `url` fields are from [Continue's MCP docs](https://docs.continue.dev/customize/deep-dives/mcp), checked November 4, 2026; standalone files in `.continue/mcpServers/` also need the `name`, `version` and `schema` lines.

## No key yet

Use `url: https://callforme.tel/mcp/open`. It needs no sign-in. The first real call returns a one-time setup link: open it, check the call, and add $5. The call starts by itself a few seconds after you pay, and the agent gets an `account_key` to keep.

## Try it in Continue

Start with a free demo call:

> Call Maple Street Pizza at (469) 770-7412 and book a table for 2 tonight at 7 under Alex. Ask for the confirmation number, then tell me how it went.

Demo lines are fictional and free. Real calls are $1 if answered, nothing if not.

## FAQ

### Why a URL with the key in it?

Continue's MCP docs show a server as just a type and a url, so the simplest working setup puts your CallForMe key in the URL. Treat that URL like a password: anyone with it can place calls on your balance.

### Does it work without a key?

Yes. https://callforme.tel/mcp/open needs nothing. Continue gets a setup link the first time it places a real call; after you pay, the agent receives an account_key to keep for later sessions.

### Does Continue call the business itself?

No. Continue's agent decides who to call and what to ask; CallForMe places the call with its own voice assistant, works the phone menu, waits on hold and sends the answers back.
