# Use CallForMe in OpenClaw

> Install the callforme skill from https://callforme.tel/skill.md into your OpenClaw skills folder, or add the MCP server with openclaw mcp set callforme and the URL https://callforme.tel/mcp. Run openclaw mcp login callforme once to connect. The first real call returns one setup link, which OpenClaw sends you in chat.

OpenClaw runs in the background and talks to you over chat apps, which suits phone calls well: ask from your phone, get the answer back in the same thread.

## Install

### Skill (recommended)

The skill teaches OpenClaw the whole call flow. Without MCP, it places calls with curl against the [REST API](/docs/rest-api):

## Connecting your account

With the MCP server, run `openclaw mcp login callforme` once. A browser tab opens and closes by itself. There's no email, no form and no card. That creates your CallForMe account, and OpenClaw keeps the credentials.

With the skill alone, there's nothing to connect. OpenClaw uses curl against the REST API, and the first real call hands it an `account_key`. Ask OpenClaw to save it (its memory, or the env var `CALLFORME_KEY` on the machine it runs on) so later calls skip the link.

## Your first call

The only other step comes once, the first time your agent places a real call. CallForMe answers with a short setup link like `https://callforme.tel/go/k7m2q`, and your agent shows it to you.

1. Open the link. It shows the exact call about to be placed: who, what number, and the goal.
2. Add $10. Your card is saved and auto-reloads, so you won't see this page again. Creators can claim credit with their email instead.
3. The page says you're done. Tell your agent to continue, and the phone starts ringing.

After that, every chat and every session just calls. If you later add CallForMe to a second agent, its first call link recognizes you (when you're signed in on that browser) and links it to your account in one click, with no second payment. More in [how setup links work](/docs/setup-links).

## Other ways to connect

If you'd rather not use OAuth with the MCP server:

- `https://callforme.tel/mcp/open` needs no sign-in. Your agent gets a setup link in each new session unless it saves the `account_key` it receives.
- A personal URL, `https://callforme.tel/mcp/k/<your key>`, or the header `Authorization: Bearer cfm_...`, using a key you create on the [account page](https://callforme.tel/account).

For a header, re-run `openclaw mcp set` with a `"headers": {"Authorization": "Bearer cfm_your_key"}` field.
