# CallForMe compared: AI calling tools side by side

> CallForMe gives the AI agent you already use a phone, through one MCP URL or a REST API. Consumer apps like Muse and Gemini keep calling inside their own apps. Voice platforms like Vapi and Retell make you build the caller. CallForMe sits between them at $1 per answered call.

## The short version

There are three kinds of tools that make phone calls with AI:

1. **Consumer assistants with calling built in.** Meta Muse, Google Ask for Me, Gemini Call for Me, Pine. You talk to their app, and they call for you. Calling stays inside that app.
2. **Voice agent platforms.** Vapi, Retell, Bland, and a raw Twilio build. You get the parts to build any voice agent, and you do the building.
3. **Phone tools for your own agent.** CallForMe, ClawCall, PhoneBooth MCP. Your existing agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, and others) gets a phone it can use.

CallForMe is in the third group. Your agent does the thinking. CallForMe makes the call, gets through the phone menu and hold, asks your agent when the business wants something it doesn't know, and returns a transcript plus structured answers.

## How we write these pages

Prices come from each vendor's public pricing page or from reporting, with the date we checked. Where a competitor is better at something, we say so. If you spot something out of date, email hello@greatwork.company and we'll fix it.

## FAQ

### What makes CallForMe different from Muse or Gemini calling?

Those features only work inside Meta's or Google's own apps and devices. CallForMe works inside the agent you already use, like Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, or Gemini CLI, and it needs no Meta or Google account.

### Is CallForMe a voice agent platform like Vapi or Retell?

No. Vapi, Retell, and Bland are platforms for building your own voice agents. CallForMe is a finished caller for one job: calling businesses on your behalf and reporting back. You don't write prompts or manage phone numbers.

### How much does CallForMe cost compared with the others?

$1 per answered call, including the first 5 minutes, then $0.25 per minute. Unanswered calls cost nothing. You add $10 of prepaid balance the first time you place a call. There is no subscription.

### Which comparison should I read first?

If you came from Meta's app, read the Muse alternative page. If you want the full market in one place, read the roundup of AI that makes phone calls for you.
