## What Assindo is

Assindo is an AI phone assistant for iPhone, Android and the web, described on [its site](https://assindo.com) as "the AI that answers your calls and makes them for you." It screens incoming calls and takes messages, and places outgoing calls to book appointments, get through phone menus and wait on hold. You ask in its app or browser chat, or through its MCP connector from an agent.

### Which is cheaper?

It depends on how much you call. Assindo's Personal plan is $9.99 a month at launch pricing and includes 1 hour of outgoing calls. CallForMe has no monthly fee: ten 2-minute answered calls cost $10, and a month with no calls costs nothing. If you use most of an hour every month, Assindo costs less.

### Which one answers my phone?

Assindo. It answers and screens incoming calls when you turn on call forwarding, and you keep your own number. CallForMe doesn't answer your phone. It only takes messages when a business calls back on CallForMe's own line.

### Do they both work with Claude and ChatGPT?

Both have a remote MCP connector. Assindo's page lists Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and others, with ChatGPT on Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces and limited support on Personal, and it signs in with your Assindo account. CallForMe is listed in ChatGPT's plugin directory and connects with one click that asks for nothing.
