# Leximo vs CallForMe: AI calls with a subscription or per call

> Both make phone calls for you and work with AI agents. Leximo sells monthly plans of 5, 15 or 50 calls and connects through a local MCP server with a token from your profile. CallForMe charges $1 per answered call with no plan, connects by URL, and every call says who it's calling for, on a recorded line.

## What Leximo is

Leximo Calls is an AI call assistant from Leximo LTD in Cyprus, with iPhone and Android apps and a web concierge. You describe the call, it calls, waits on hold, and reports back; you can take over the call yourself. For agents it ships a local MCP server and a Claude Code plugin ([pricing](https://concierge.leximo.ai/pricing), [MCP server](https://github.com/Leximo-AI/leximo-ai-call-assistant-mcp-server)).

- You want to call many places at once. See [call around](/guides/call-around).

## FAQ

### How much does Leximo cost?

As of October 2026 Leximo lists Starter at $9.99 a month for 5 calls, Pro at $19.99 for 15, and Max at $49.99 for 50, and doesn't charge for busy, unanswered or recorded-message attempts. CallForMe has no plan: $1 per answered call including the first 2 minutes, then $0.40 a minute, from a $10 prepaid balance.

### How does each one connect to an agent?

Leximo's MCP server runs locally (an npm package) with an API token copied from your Leximo profile. CallForMe is a remote server: add https://callforme.tel/mcp and click Connect, nothing to install or copy.

### Do businesses know it's an AI?

Every CallForMe call opens with "an assistant calling for (your name), on a recorded line" and says it's an AI whenever asked. Leximo's FAQ says most recipients "have no idea they're speaking with an AI."

### Who can each one call?

CallForMe calls US and Canadian businesses only, never personal numbers. Leximo says it can call any business or person with a phone number.
