# Changelog

> CallForMe ships changes most days. The latest: single calls now go out whenever you ask, even late at night (Oct 25, 2026); call_around can queue exact numbers and wait behind one setup link (Oct 23); the assistant opens with "an assistant calling for NAME, on a recorded line" and says it's an AI whenever asked (Oct 23).

Newest first. CallForMe is hosted, so every change below is already live for your agent.

## October 25, 2026

- **Live [status page](/status)** and `/status.json`, so you or your agent can check that calls are going out before you start.
- **WebMCP tools** on every page: agents browsing the site can read pricing and setup steps directly.
- **Codex desktop connects.** Signing in from the Codex app failed with "redirect_uri not registered" because it picks a new local port each time. Local callback URLs now match on any port, as the OAuth standard for native apps requires.
- **Calls go out when you ask, day or night.** `place_call`, `redial` and `POST /v1/calls` no longer refuse calls between 10pm and 7am at the business. A late call comes back with a warning that the place may be closed; if nobody answers, there's no charge. `call_around` batches still wait until 7am. See [late calls](/guides/when-will-ai-call-quiet-hours).
- **`pricing` and `account` suggest a free demo call** to accounts that haven't placed one yet.
- **Answers keep codes and prices as written.** A confirmation number read out letter by letter comes back as `MS4412`, and prices as `$18`, not "eighteen dollars".
- **Copied URLs with a trailing period work.** `callforme.tel/mcp.` redirects to `/mcp`, including for MCP clients.

## October 23 to 24, 2026

- **`call_around` takes exact numbers.** Pass `phones: [{phone, business_name}]` to call places you already have numbers for, with no search.
- **Batches queue behind one setup link.** With no credit yet, `call_around` returns one link; adding credit starts the batch on its own.
- **New opener.** The assistant says "Hi, this is an assistant calling for NAME, on a recorded line." It still says it's an AI whenever it's asked.
- **`add_credit_url`** in the `account` tool and `GET /v1/account` is a signed link that works for accounts without an email sign-in.
- **`find_business` says when a place has no phone listed** and returns its website and address, instead of "nothing matched".
- **Voice:** two-part questions need both parts answered; the assistant stays silent through recorded notices before someone greets it.
- **Billing:** accounts without a saved card hold $1 per live call instead of the call's full length cap.

## October 20 to 22, 2026

- **CallForMe is in the ChatGPT plugin directory.** Install it from there instead of developer mode.
- **Retries learn from earlier attempts.** A `redial`, or a second call to the same number within 24 hours, tells the assistant which phone-menu routes failed last time so it tries a different one.
- **Voice:** no narration into phone menus, whole menus heard before a key is pressed, and fixes for dates and menu choices from real calls.
- **Security:** hardened dynamic client registration for OAuth.

## October 9, 2026

- **Every error says what happened and what to do next.** MCP and REST failures carry a `code` and a `next_step`. A bad key returns `INVALID_KEY` instead of quietly creating an account.
- **Usage alerts:** a projected run-out date, emails at 75% and 90% of credit used, and an optional "pause calls under $X" floor.
- **Agent discovery:** `/.well-known/ai-catalog.json`, an MCP server card, and `/skill.md` written for agents that read it.
- **`plan_call`** flags fewer false gaps and knows catering and tire or parts-stock calls.

## October 7, 2026

- **New pricing:** $1 per answered call including the first 2 minutes, then $0.40 a minute, 30 minutes at most ($12.20). Unanswered calls stay free. See [pricing](/docs/pricing).
- **Free [phone call script generator](/tools/call-script)** for writing a call goal, details and questions.

## October 2 to 6, 2026

- **`call_around`, `get_batch` and `stop_batch`** for calling several businesses at once, with spending and stop-after limits.
- **Languages:** the default agent hears English and Spanish and switches live; other languages can be set up front, and a call that reaches another language can call back in it once.
- **Auto-reload trigger** is configurable ($2, $5, $10 or $20) on the [account page](/account).
- **Duplicate protection:** an identical `place_call` within 2 minutes returns the first call instead of dialing twice.
- **ChatGPT, Codex, Claude Code and Gemini CLI** confirmed working end to end with real demo calls.

## September 29, 2026: launch

- Remote MCP server at `https://callforme.tel/mcp` with one-click connect, a [REST API](/docs/rest-api) and an [agent skill](/docs/skill).
- Mid-call questions back to your agent with a 45-second answer window, live transcripts, `answer_question`, `hang_up`, `share_call`.
- Result emails, calendar invites for bookings, and a callback line that takes messages for you.
- Free [demo lines](/demo) anyone's agent can call with no setup.

## FAQ

### Do I need to update anything when CallForMe changes?

No. CallForMe is a hosted MCP server and REST API, so changes reach your agent on its next call. Nothing to install or upgrade.

### Will tool names or inputs change under me?

New inputs are added as optional fields, so existing prompts and scripts keep working. If a tool ever had to change in a breaking way, it would be listed here first.

### Where do I report a bug?

Email hello@greatwork.company with the call_id if you have one.
