# Have AI call back a business that asked you for a quote

> Give your agent the request and your price. CallForMe calls the business back about the quote they asked for, confirms the details, gives your price, and reports whether they want to go ahead and who gets the invoice. It only calls businesses that asked to hear from you, never personal numbers or cold leads.

**Say to your agent:** "Maplewood Family Dental asked for a quote on 2,000 appointment cards through our website. Call them back as Sam at Ridgeline Print Co, confirm the size and paper, quote $189 with a 5-day turnaround, and ask if they'd like to go ahead and who should get the proof."

Quote requests go cold fast. The business that filled in your form at 9am is calling someone else by noon. Your agent can call them back while you finish the job in front of you, then hand you the answer.

## What your agent does

1. **plan_call** checks the request for gaps: the quantity, the deadline, the name to ask for. Missing pieces become questions on the call.
2. **place_call** calls the number the business left:

<details><summary>What your agent sends (for developers)</summary>

```json
{
  "phone": "+15035550142",
  "business_name": "Maplewood Family Dental",
  "goal": "Call back about the appointment card quote they requested on our website. Confirm the specs, give the price, and find out if they want to go ahead.",
  "on_behalf_of": "Sam at Ridgeline Print Co",
  "details": "They asked for 2,000 appointment cards, 2 x 3.5 in, two-sided. Our price: $189 on 14pt matte, ready 5 business days after proof approval. Their request came in today at 9:12am from the office manager, Dana.",
  "questions": ["Are the size and paper right?", "Do they want to go ahead?", "Who should get the proof and invoice, and at what email?"],
  "constraints": "Can go down to $175 for 2,500 cards. Don't promise anything faster than 3 business days.",
  "callback_number": "+15035550100"
}
```

</details>

3. **get_call** follows it. If they ask for something outside your limits, like a rush job, the question reaches your agent while they wait.

## Example result

Illustrative example: names, prices and numbers are made up.

> **Voice agent:** Hi, this is an assistant calling for Sam at Ridgeline Print Co, on a recorded line. I'm calling back about the appointment card quote Dana asked for this morning.
> **Front desk:** Oh good, that's me. What did it come to?
> **Voice agent:** 2,000 two-sided cards on matte stock come to $189, ready five business days after you approve the proof. Is that size and paper what you had in mind?
> **Front desk:** Yes. Send the proof to the office email and we'll go ahead.

| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Specs right? | Yes, 2 x 3.5 in, two-sided, matte |
| Going ahead? | Yes, at $189 |
| Proof and invoice to | Dana, office@ (spelled out on the call) |

Your agent's summary: "Maplewood Family Dental said yes at $189. Send the proof to Dana at the office email."

## Tips

- **Call as you at your company** ("Sam at Ridgeline Print Co"). The assistant opens with it, and the business knows who's calling back.
- **Say what they asked for and when.** "The quote you asked for this morning" gets a warmer answer than a cold pitch.
- **Give a callback number** so they can reach you directly.
- **Set your limits up front** in constraints, so a discount or a rush request comes to you instead of being agreed on the spot.

## What it doesn't do

It doesn't call lists, people who didn't ask, or personal numbers, and it won't read out card numbers. Businesses can opt out of CallForMe calls at any time. See [is it legal for AI to call a business](/guides/is-it-legal-for-ai-to-call-a-business).

## What it costs

$1 per answered call, including the first 2 minutes, then 40 cents a minute. A quote callback usually takes 2 to 4 minutes: $1 to $1.80. No answer means no charge.

## FAQ

### Can it call people who never contacted me?

No. CallForMe isn't a dialer for cold outreach. Use it for businesses that asked you to call: a quote form, a voicemail, an email asking for a price.

### Can it call a customer's cell phone?

No. CallForMe calls businesses only, never personal numbers. If the request came from a person rather than a business, call them yourself.

### What if they want to negotiate?

Put your limits in constraints, like "You can go down to $170 for 2,500 cards. Don't agree to rush delivery." Anything outside them comes back to your agent mid-call.

### What does it cost?

$1 per answered call, including the first 2 minutes, then 40 cents a minute. A callback like this usually runs 2 to 4 minutes: $1 to $1.80. No answer is free.
