# Book a Haircut by Phone With Your AI Agent

> Tell your agent the shop, the service, and the times that work. CallForMe calls the shop, says it's an automated assistant booking for you, asks for the first opening in your window, confirms the price, and books it if you allowed that. You get the time, stylist, and price back.

**Say to your agent:** "Call Fade & Co and book me a men's cut with anyone Saturday morning, 9 to noon. Ask the price."

## What you say to your agent

> Call Fade & Co and book me a men's cut with anyone Saturday morning, 9 to noon. Ask the price.

Plenty of barbershops and small salons still run on a phone and a paper book. It's a 90 second call, but it's one more thing to remember during the shop's hours.

## What your agent does

1. **find_business** finds Fade & Co near you and returns the phone number and today's hours.
2. **plan_call** writes the opener and flags that the shop may ask for a phone number for the booking.
3. **place_call** dials:

```json
{
  "phone": "+13125550134",
  "business_name": "Fade & Co",
  "goal": "Book a men's haircut Saturday Oct 4 between 9am and noon with any barber.",
  "details": "Name for the booking: Chris Moreno. Phone for the booking: 312-555-0178. Regular cut, no beard trim.",
  "questions": ["What time is booked?", "Which barber?", "What is the price?"],
  "on_behalf_of": "Chris Moreno",
  "callback_number": "+13125550178",
  "constraints": "Only book between 9am and noon Saturday. If nothing is open, ask about Sunday and do not book."
}
```

4. **get_call** polls until `ended`. If the barber asks "do you want a beard trim too?" and your details already say no, the voice agent answers. If they ask something new, your agent sees `pending_question` and replies with **answer_question**.

## Example result

> **Voice agent:** 10:15 with Marco works. What's the price for a regular cut?
> **Barber:** Thirty-five. What's the name?
> **Voice agent:** Chris Moreno, phone 312-555-0178.

Your agent can then add it to your calendar if it has a calendar tool.

## Tips

- Give a time window, not a single time. It turns a back and forth into one question.
- Put the phone number you want on the booking in `details`. The call comes from CallForMe's number, +1 (469) 966-0062, so the shop needs yours for reminders.
- If you have a regular stylist, name them and say whether "anyone" is fine as a fallback.

## What it costs

A booking call like this is almost always under 5 minutes: $1. Busy signals and no-answers are free.

## FAQ

### Can it book with a specific stylist?

Yes. Put the stylist's name in the goal or details. You can also give a fallback, like 'anyone if Marco is booked.'

### What if the shop only books online?

The voice agent records what the shop says, and your agent tells you. Some shops that use online booking still take phone bookings for regulars or walk-ins.

### What if nobody picks up?

No charge. Your agent can try again later. There's a limit of 3 calls to the same number per day.
