Call a court clerk, county office or licensing board with AI

Short answer: Tell your agent the office and what you need: a certified record, a renewal date, the right form. CallForMe calls, works the menu, waits on hold, and reports the steps, fees and turnaround. These lines can hold a long time, so pass max_cost_usd to cap the call, or transfer_to so you take over when someone answers.

“Call the Lakeview County district court clerk and ask how to get a certified disposition for a paid traffic ticket from 2019: the form, the fee, how to pay and how long it takes. Don't give out my personal details. Cap the call at $3.”

$1 when someone answers, first 2 minutes included. Nothing if nobody picks up. Connecting asks for nothing.

Court clerks, county offices and licensing boards answer the phone, eventually. The answer is usually simple (this form, this fee, mail it here), but getting it means a menu and a long hold. Your agent can wait for you.

What your agent does

  1. plan_call flags that the line may hold a long time and suggests max_cost_usd or transfer_to, and checks what the office may ask for.
  2. place_call dials, picks the right option in the menu, waits on hold, and asks your questions once someone answers.
  3. get_call follows the call and returns the steps, fees, forms and turnaround in a table.

Tips

  • Ask general procedure questions: offices answer those for anyone. Record-specific questions usually need the person.
  • Set max_cost_usd. Some lines hold for 20 minutes or more.
  • Calling about a license or registration? Ask for the exact expiration date on file and how to get written confirmation.

What it costs

$1 for the first 2 minutes once someone answers, then $0.40 a minute, including hold. With max_cost_usd set, the call never costs more than that. No answer is free.

Questions

Will the office talk to an assistant?

For general questions (which form, what it costs, how long it takes, the address or email to send it to), almost always. For anything tied to a person's record, they usually need that person, so pass transfer_to and the assistant patches you in once someone answers.

What about long holds?

Hold time is billed after the first 2 minutes, at $0.40 a minute. Pass max_cost_usd (3 is about 7 minutes) and the call ends by itself at that cost, or transfer_to so you take over once a person answers.

Can it submit the request or pay the fee?

No. It gets the steps, the form and the fee so you can submit it yourself. It never reads card numbers, Social Security numbers or one-time codes to anyone.
