Meta Muse alternative that works in your own agent
CallForMe is a Meta Muse alternative for phone calls. Instead of switching to Meta's app, you add one MCP URL to the agent you already use, like Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Cursor. No Meta account. Every call is placed by software, and it says so in the first sentence.
Why people look for a Muse alternative
Meta launched its Muse agent in the US on September 8, 2026, and outbound calls to businesses entered an expanded beta on September 16 (TechCrunch). Calling is one of the things people ask Muse for most. A few things push people to look elsewhere:
- You already live in another agent. If your day happens in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Cursor, switching to Meta's app for one phone call is a detour. Muse does not expose its calling to other agents.
- You'd rather not hand Meta your accounts. Muse works by connecting your email, calendar, and payment accounts.
- Human callers. On September 22, 404 Media reported that some Muse calls presented as AI were placed by human call center contractors, sometimes without telling the tester until afterward (404 Media). Meta rolled the human calls back and an executive said the lack of clear disclosure "was a mistake" (TechSpot).
- Gating. Calling is a limited beta. Some users planned a call and only learned at "go" that calling wasn't enabled on their account.

- Your agent can look up the business and plan the call without any account.
- The first time it places a call, it shows you a short setup link. You add $10 of balance, go back to your agent, and the call dials.
- A voice assistant calls, says who it is and who it's calling for, gets through the phone menu, waits on hold, and asks your agent if the business needs something it doesn't know.
- Your agent gets the transcript and the answers: the time booked, the price quoted, the confirmation number.

When Muse is the better pick
- You want one assistant to do everything: email, shopping, travel, and calls.
- You don't use another AI agent and don't want to set one up.
- You want calling included in a plan you already pay for.

Questions
Do I need a Meta account to use CallForMe?
No. CallForMe has nothing to do with Meta. You install it in your own agent with a URL or a command, and you only create a CallForMe balance at the moment you place your first call.
Are CallForMe calls ever made by humans?
No. Every call is made by a voice assistant, and it opens by saying it's an automated assistant calling on behalf of the person you name. If someone asks whether it's a human, it says it's an AI assistant.
Can I use CallForMe inside Muse?
Yes. Muse supports custom MCP connectors, so you can add https://callforme.tel/mcp as a connector. See the Meta Muse setup page for the steps.
Can CallForMe do the same things Muse calling does?
For calls to businesses, mostly yes: reservations, quotes, stock checks, appointments, waiting on hold, and cancellations. CallForMe does not book flights on websites, fill forms, or shop. It only makes phone calls.
Does CallForMe work outside the US?
You can use it from anywhere. The businesses you call must have US or Canadian phone numbers.
