Safety and disclosure
Every CallForMe call opens by saying it's an automated assistant calling on behalf of you, and it never claims to be human. It won't share card numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords, won't agree to charges past your limits, calls businesses only, honors opt-outs for all users, and caps calls per number per day.
Honest from the first sentence
Every call opens with:
Hi, I'm an automated assistant calling on behalf of {your name}...
If someone asks whether it's a person, it says it's an AI assistant. It never claims to be human, and it doesn't use your voice. No person places the call for us.
Calls come from +1 (469) 966-0062. If you pass a callback_number, the assistant shares it so the business can reach you directly.
What the assistant won't say
No matter what's in details or what your agent answers mid-call, the assistant never gives these over the phone:
- Payment card numbers
- Social Security numbers
- Passwords or PINs
If a business needs one, the assistant tells them the customer will provide it directly. Use transfer_to if you want to be patched in for that part.
Your limits are hard limits
Whatever you put in constraints is a line the assistant won't cross. "Don't agree to more than $200" means it won't agree to $201. "Quotes only, don't book" means it won't book. It never agrees to charges beyond your constraints.
Voicemail
If the call reaches voicemail, the assistant hangs up unless you gave it a voicemail_message. It doesn't improvise messages.
Who it will call
- US and Canadian numbers only.
- Blocked: 911, 988, 211, 311 and other N11 numbers; 900 and 976 premium numbers.
- Toll-free numbers are allowed.
- Businesses only. Not individuals.
A call to a blocked number returns {"status": "blocked", "reason": "..."}.
Caps
- At most 3 calls to the same number per account per day.
- At most 10 calls to the same number per day across all users.
These keep any one business from getting flooded, even by several people calling the same popular place.
Opt-outs
If a business says "don't call us," that number goes on an opt-out list. It applies to every CallForMe user from then on, not just the account that placed the call.
Calls end on time
A call can last up to 30 minutes, including hold. Your agent can end one early with hang_up.
Terms in short
You can use CallForMe to call businesses about your own errands. You can't use it for:
- Telemarketing or sales calls
- Harassment
- Impersonating someone else
- Calling individuals
Why we do it this way
AI calls only work if businesses are willing to pick up. Being clear about what's calling and why, not calling too often, and stopping when asked keeps it that way. It also lines up with US rules on artificial-voice calls. See is it legal for AI to call a business.

Questions
Is a human ever on the call instead of the AI?
No. Calls are placed by software and say so. The only person who might join is you, if you set transfer_to to be patched in.
What number do calls come from?
+1 (469) 966-0062. You can give your own callback number for the business to use.
What if a business doesn't want AI calls?
When a business says not to call, the number goes on an opt-out list that applies to every CallForMe user.
Can I use CallForMe to call people?
No. Calls are for businesses only. Telemarketing, harassment and impersonation are against the terms.
How do I report a problem?
