Phone call script generator
Type what the call needs to get done. You get an opening line, the things the business will probably ask for, questions worth asking, and what to confirm before you hang up. Use it to make the call yourself, or paste the prompt into your AI agent and let it call.
Example: cancel a gym membership
Here's what the generator gives you for "Cancel my gym membership", with a name and a member number filled in.
The script
Open with
Hi, my name is Sam. I'm calling to cancel my gym membership.
Have this ready: they'll probably ask for
- Your name (or the name the booking or account is under) in your notes
- Account, member, or policy number in your notes
- The address, email or phone on the account (they use it to verify you)
Ask them
- What's the cancellation confirmation number?
- What's the final billing date, and is there a prorated charge?
- Is there any equipment to return, and how?
Before you hang up
- Repeat back the key answer (time, price, or what was agreed).
- Ask for a confirmation or reference number.
- Write down the name of the person you spoke with and the time of the call.
Tips
- Decide before the call whether you'll hear a retention offer. If not, say no once and ask again to cancel.
Rather not make the call?
Paste this into your AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI). With CallForMe added, it places the call, works the phone menu, waits on hold, and asks you only when the business needs something it doesn't know. The business hears:
Hi, this is an AI assistant calling for Sam, on a recorded line. I'm calling to cancel my gym membership.
$1 per answered call including the first 2 minutes, then 40¢ a minute. Free if nobody answers. Add CallForMe to your agent (one URL, no signup to connect).

What each kind of call needs
These are the items a business usually asks for before it can help, by kind of call. They come from the same rules CallForMe uses when an AI agent previews a call, so an agent sees the same list.
| Kind of call | They'll ask for | Worth asking them |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant reservation | Your name; Party size (the call stalls without it); The date and time, plus an acceptable range (the call stalls without it); A callback number | Do you have that time, and if not, what's the closest? |
| Takeout order | Your name; A callback number | What's the total with tax? |
| Cancelling a service or membership | Your name; Account, member, or policy number; The address, email or phone on the account | What's the cancellation confirmation number? |
| Pharmacy | Your name; Date of birth (the call stalls without it); The prescription number | Is it ready, or when will it be? |
| Insurance or claims | Your name; Account, member, or policy number; Date of birth | What's the current status, and what happens next? |
| Airline | Your name; The confirmation code (the call stalls without it); The flight number and date | What are the rebooking options today and tomorrow? |
| Appointment | Your name; The date and time, plus an acceptable range; A callback number | What's the earliest opening? |
| Doctor or dentist | Your name; The date and time, plus an acceptable range; A callback number; Date of birth | Are you in network for my plan (the plan name, not just the insurance company)? |
| Bill or fee | Your name; Account, member, or policy number; The lowest price you'd accept | What promotions can you apply to my account? |
| Order status | Your name; The order number (the call stalls without it) | Where is it now? |
| Car repair quote | The vehicle's year, make and model (the call stalls without it) | What's the total for parts and labor, with tax? |
| Home services (plumber, electrician, HVAC) | The service address or zip; The date and time, plus an acceptable range | Is there a trip or service-call fee, and does it count toward the job? |
| Price check | The exact item or service | What's the price with tax and any fees? |
How to use the script
Read the opening line as written. Businesses decide in the first sentence whether they can help, so it says who you are and what you need right away. Keep the "they'll ask for" items in front of you: most calls stall when the person on the other end asks for something you have to go look up, and then you're back in the hold queue.
Ask your questions in order, most important first. If you only get one answer, make it the one that decides what you do next. Before you hang up, repeat back what was agreed and get a confirmation number. That's what you'll need if a charge shows up later or the booking isn't there when you arrive.
If the call is one you'd rather skip, the prompt at the bottom of the script is written for an AI agent. Read AI calls for phone anxiety for how that works, or how to write a good call goal to sharpen the errand.
FAQ
Is this phone call script generator free?
Yes. There's no signup, and nothing you type is saved. It runs the same checks CallForMe's plan_call tool runs before an AI agent places a call.
How does it know what the business will ask?
It matches the errand to a kind of call (a reservation, a cancellation, a pharmacy refill, a repair quote and so on). Each kind has a short list of things that business needs before it can help, like the account number and the address on file for a cancellation.
Can I use the script to make the call myself?
Yes. The opening line, the questions and the before-you-hang-up list work the same for you. If you'd rather not call, paste the prompt into an AI agent with CallForMe added and it makes the call.
Does it work for calls to people?
It's written for calls to businesses. CallForMe itself only calls businesses, never personal numbers or emergency lines.
