Have AI call bakeries about a custom cake
Tell your agent the date, how many servings, the flavor and the design. CallForMe calls bakeries near you, asks whether they can make it by that date, the price, the deposit and how far ahead they need the order. Your agent puts the answers side by side so you can pick one. Each answered call costs $1.
Custom cakes are booked against a calendar. A bakery that's perfect for your design may be full that weekend, and the only way to know is to ask. Calling four at once tells you who can do it before you fall in love with a design.

Other bakery calls:
- "Ask bakeries near me who can do 6 dozen assorted cupcakes for pickup Friday at 3pm, and the price."

- "Find a bakery that can make 120 mini pastries for a work event next Thursday."
What the bakery will ask
plan_call has no bakery category, so what it flags depends on your wording. Ask for a price, quote or "how much" and it flags the exact item: size, model, quantity. Mention servings or tiers with numbers and that's covered. Bakers also ask:
- Pickup or delivery, and the time.
- Flavor of cake and filling, frosting type (buttercream or fondant).
- Text on the cake and colors.
- Do you have a photo of the design?
Write the answers into details so four bakeries hear the same request.
Questions worth asking
- Can you make it by this date?
- Price per serving or total, and what adds cost (fondant, figures, tiers).
- Deposit and when the rest is due.
- Last day to place the order and last day to change it.
- Delivery fee, if they deliver.
How call_around works for bakeries
query: "bakery" with queries: ["custom cakes", "cake shop"] finds both storefront bakeries and cake studios. Some cake studios work by appointment and don't answer during decorating hours, so count: 6 gives you enough answers. If you want the order placed with the first bakery that says yes, set stop_after: 1 and say so in the goal.
What trips these calls up
- Order forms. Some bakeries only take custom orders through a form on their site. The assistant reports it and asks if they have space that date before you fill it out.
- Early hours. Bakeries open early and often close by mid-afternoon. Calls after 3pm may reach a closed shop.
- Saturday mornings. The counter is busy and the phone rings out.
What it costs
$1 per bakery that answers, including 5 minutes. Custom cake calls run longer, often 4 to 6 minutes. Four bakeries with one 6 minute call: $4.25.

Questions
How far ahead do bakeries need a custom cake?
It ranges from 48 hours for a simple decorated sheet cake to several weeks for tiered or sculpted cakes in wedding season. That's why the lead time is the first thing to ask.
Can it place the order?
It can tell the bakery you want to go ahead and ask how to confirm. Most bakeries need a deposit, which you pay yourself in person, online or by phone.
Will they quote over the phone?
Most give a per-serving price and a range for decoration. Detailed designs often need a photo, which the bakery asks you to email.
What about allergies?
Ask directly whether they can make it nut-free or gluten-free and whether their kitchen handles those ingredients. The answer varies a lot between bakeries.
