Have AI call hotels for you

Tell your agent the hotel, your dates and what you want to know or change. CallForMe calls the front desk, asks about rates, pets, parking or a group block, or adds a request to your reservation, and reports back. Front desks are open all night, so your agent can call late with after_hours. Each answered call costs $1.

“Call 4 hotels near the Nashville convention center and ask the direct rate for a king room March 6 to 8, whether parking is included, and if they allow a 40 pound dog.”

Hotel websites show a price and a policy page. The front desk knows what's left, whether the pet fee can be waived, and if the garage has room for a truck. They're also awake at 2am, unlike most businesses.

Paste this into your agent

Call 4 hotels near the Nashville convention center and ask the direct rate for a king room March 6 to 8, whether parking is included, and if they allow a 40 pound dog.

Other hotel calls:

  • "Call the Hilton I'm booked at, confirmation 84XK2Q, and ask for a 1pm late checkout on Sunday."
  • "Ask 3 hotels near the venue about a block of 10 rooms for a wedding on June 14, the group rate, and the cutoff date."
  • "Call my hotel tonight and ask if the shuttle to the airport runs at 5am."

What the front desk will ask

Watch your wording: plan_call reads "reservation" or "reserve" as a restaurant-style booking, so it flags party size and the date and time as blocking. For a hotel, put the dates and number of guests in details and that's covered. If the goal is about an existing stay, put the confirmation number in too. Front desks ask:

  • Name on the reservation and the confirmation number.
  • Dates, number of guests, room type.
  • For groups: how many rooms, which nights, who's paying.

Questions worth asking

  • Direct rate for these nights, and what's included.
  • Parking: price per night, valet or self, height limits.
  • Pet policy: weight limit, fee, which rooms.
  • Early check-in or late checkout, and any charge.
  • Shuttle times, resort or amenity fees.

How call_around works for hotels

query: "hotel" with near set to an address or landmark ("Music City Center, Nashville") and min_rating: 4 gives a short list of nearby properties. Hotels list both a local and a central number. call_around uses the number the listing shows, which is usually the local desk. Batches wait for 7am at each hotel even though desks are open, so for a late-night question use place_call with after_hours: true.

What trips these calls up

  • Transfers to central reservations. Some front desks send rate questions to a call center, which adds hold time.
  • Third-party bookings. If you booked through a travel site, the hotel may say changes go through that site.
  • Check-in rush. 3 to 6pm is the busiest time at the desk. Mid-morning calls get more attention.

What it costs

$1 per hotel that answers, including 5 minutes. A transfer to central reservations can take a call to 10 minutes: $2.25. Four hotels with one transfer: $5.25.

Questions

Can it call a hotel at night?

Yes. A front desk is staffed around the clock, so your agent can pass after_hours to call between 10pm and 7am. Without it, CallForMe waits until 7am local time.

Is the rate cheaper by phone?

Sometimes. Hotels can match or beat a third-party price, waive a fee, or add parking or breakfast when you book direct. Ask for the best direct rate for your dates.

Should it call the local number or the chain's 800 line?

The local front desk for anything about that property: parking, pets, early check-in. The central line for loyalty points and reservations you made through the chain.

Can it change my reservation?

Yes, with your name and confirmation number. Changes that cost money or need a card, the hotel finishes with you directly.
