Have AI call moving companies for quotes
Give your agent both addresses, the move date, the home size and anything heavy. CallForMe calls moving companies near you, asks each for the hourly rate, crew size, minimum hours, travel fee and availability, and your agent puts the quotes in one table. Each answered call costs $1.
Moving quotes are hard to compare because every company asks slightly different questions and quotes a slightly different crew. Your agent gives every company the same description and asks for the same numbers.

Call 5 moving companies near 60640 for a move on Saturday May 30 from a 2 bedroom third floor walk-up to a house 6 miles away. Ask the hourly rate for 3 movers and a truck, the minimum, and any travel or stair fees.
Other moving calls:
- "Ask 3 movers near me what they charge to move just a piano down one flight of stairs."
- "Call moving companies and find one that has a crew free this Friday afternoon for a studio apartment."
- "Get quotes from movers that also pack. 1 bedroom, moving June 1."
What the mover will ask
Movers, moving company and similar words put the call in the trades category of plan_call. It flags the service address or zip, since movers check their area, and the date and a time range. It also notes that trades rarely give a firm price by phone, so ask for rates and fees. Movers also want:
- Home size: rooms, or a rough count of big items.
- Stairs, elevators, and the walk from the door to the truck at both ends.
- Heavy or special items: piano, safe, pool table, aquarium.
- Whether you're packing yourself.
Questions worth asking
- Hourly rate for this crew size and truck.
- Minimum hours, and how time is counted (door to door or from their yard).
- Travel fee, stair fee, fuel charge.
- Insurance or valuation coverage included.
- Availability on your date, and the arrival window.
How call_around works for movers
query: "moving company" near your current zip, count: 5, everything above in details. Month-end and Saturdays book out first, so put your backup date in if_asked: "If the 30th is full, Sunday the 31st works." Add min_rating: 4.3 to filter out poorly rated companies before anything is dialed. Leave out stop_after so you get every quote.
What trips these calls up
- Brokers. Some numbers reach a broker who books another company's crew. Ask "are you the company doing the move?"
- Callbacks for estimates. Bigger companies schedule a video or in-home estimate. The assistant books it if your goal allows.
- Voicemail. Owners of small moving companies are often on a job. Calls that reach voicemail without a message are free. With
voicemail_message, a message is left and the call is billed like an answered call.
What it costs
$1 per mover that answers, including 5 minutes. Moving calls have a lot of questions, so 6 to 8 minutes is normal. Five movers at 7 minutes each: $7.50.

Questions
Will movers give a firm price over the phone?
Local movers usually quote an hourly rate for a crew and truck, a minimum number of hours and a travel fee. Some give a flat price after a video walkthrough. Long-distance moves need an inventory.
What do movers ask first?
The date, both addresses or zips, the size of the home, stairs or elevators at each end, and large items like a piano or a gun safe.
Can it book the move?
It can hold the date if the company does that by phone. Most need a deposit, which you pay directly.
How do I compare quotes fairly?
Give every company the same details, so each quote is for the same job. Then compare crew size, rate, minimum and fees together, not the hourly rate alone.
