Have your AI agent book a test drive at nearby dealers

Tell your agent the model, trim, and when you're free. It finds nearby dealers and calls several in parallel with CallForMe. Each call checks whether a demo car is on the lot and what times are open. Your agent reports back, then books the one you choose with a quick follow-up call.

"Call dealerships nearby and book a Model Y test drive for Saturday afternoon."

What you say to your agent

Call dealerships nearby and book a Model Y test drive for Saturday afternoon.

Dealers answer the phone quickly and they want to book test drives, but you still have to ask each one whether the trim you care about is on the lot. That's a fan-out job.

What your agent does

  1. find_business with query: "Tesla showroom" or query: "Toyota dealer" near you. It picks the three or four closest.
  2. plan_call for the availability check. It flags the likely question "do you have a driver's license with you?" and "are you trading in?".
  3. place_call to each dealer in parallel, asking only for availability:
{
  "phone": "+19725550109",
  "business_name": "North Dallas EV Showroom",
  "goal": "Find out if a Model Y Long Range demo is available for a test drive this Saturday afternoon and what times are open. Do not book yet.",
  "details": "Interested in Model Y Long Range AWD. Free Saturday between 1pm and 5pm. Has a valid driver's license. No trade-in.",
  "questions": [
    "Is a Model Y Long Range available to test drive?",
    "What times are open Saturday afternoon?",
    "How long is a test drive?"
  ],
  "on_behalf_of": "Jake Marsh",
  "callback_number": "+12145550199",
  "constraints": "Availability only. Don't book, and don't discuss price, financing, or trade-in."
}
  1. get_call on each until ended. Then your agent shows you the options and, once you pick, makes one more place_call with the goal "Book the 2pm test drive" to that dealer.

Example result

Example transcript excerpt:

Assistant: Hi, I'm an automated assistant calling on behalf of Jake Marsh. Is a Model Y Long Range available for a test drive this Saturday afternoon? Advisor: Yes, we have a Long Range demo. Saturday I have 2pm and 3:30. Assistant: How long is the drive? Advisor: About 30 minutes, and we'll need his license when he arrives.

What your agent tells you:

Dealer Demo available Saturday times Notes
North Dallas EV Showroom Long Range 2pm, 3:30pm 30 min drive, bring license
Plano Galleria location Performance only 1pm No Long Range demo
Frisco delivery center Yes Online booking only Sent link

Three answered calls, $3.00. After you picked 2pm, one more $1 call booked it.

Tips

  • Name the trim. "Model Y" gets you whatever is on the lot. "Long Range AWD" gets you the car you want to drive.
  • Split checking and booking. Ask for availability everywhere, then book once. It avoids leaving no-shows at other dealers.
  • Keep constraints tight so the call doesn't wander into pricing and trade-ins.

What it costs

$1 per dealer that answers, plus $1 for the booking call.

Questions

Will salespeople try to sell me on the phone?

Probably. The assistant sticks to the goal: availability of a demo car and a time. It won't discuss financing, trade-ins, or pricing unless you ask it to.

Will it give my email or phone to the dealer?

Only what you put in details or callback_number. Dealers usually want a phone number to confirm, so expect a follow-up.

Can I book at more than one dealer?

You can, but it's kinder to ask for availability from all and book one. That's how the example below works.

What if the dealer only books test drives online?

The assistant asks, and if so, it gets the link or instructions. Your agent passes them to you.
