Cancel SiriusXM by phone with your AI agent

Short answer: Give your agent the account number or radio ID and the name on the account. CallForMe calls SiriusXM at 800-689-6881, asks its AI assistant for a live agent, asks to cancel, declines retention offers unless you say otherwise, and gets a confirmation number and the last day of service. When we called on November 3, 2026, a person answered after 2 minutes 9 seconds.

“Call SiriusXM and cancel my subscription. My radio ID is 4K7T 9QX2 2M8P and the account is under Sam Ortiz. Decline any offers to stay. Get a confirmation number and the date service ends. If they need to verify me, connect me at (214) 555-0147.”

SiriusXM cancellations often come down to a phone call and a retention pitch. Your agent can make the call, get past the automated assistant, say no to the offers, and come back with proof that it's done.

What your agent does

  1. Calls SiriusXM at 800-689-6881, the customer service number on SiriusXM's contact page (call center hours 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern, every day).
  2. Gets to a person. SiriusXM's AI assistant answers first and offers to help itself; the assistant asks for a live specialist.
  3. Asks to cancel, giving the account number or radio ID and the name on the account.
  4. Turns down the retention offers unless you said otherwise, and notes each one.
  5. Gets the confirmation: a confirmation number, the last day of service, and whether anything more will be billed.

What to give your agent

  • The account number or radio ID (ESN or RID).
  • The name on the account, and the vehicle or device if you have more than one.
  • Whether you'd accept any offer, and below what price, in constraints.
  • Your number, as transfer_to, if they want to verify you.

Leave card numbers and passwords out of the request: the assistant never reads them aloud.

How long it took

When we called on November 3, 2026, SiriusXM's AI assistant answered, and after we asked for a live agent a person picked up at 2 minutes 9 seconds, menu included. One call, so treat it as a snapshot. See customer service hold times, measured.

Questions

Can I cancel SiriusXM without calling?

For a subscription billed directly by SiriusXM, its help pages list three ways: the Subscriptions tab in the online account center, chat, or a phone call. A subscription billed through another company (a car dealer or an app store, for example) is cancelled with that company.

What does SiriusXM ask for?

SiriusXM's contact page asks callers to have the account number or radio ID ready (the radio ID is also called the ESN or RID). Have the name on the account too. If they verify the account holder another way, pass your number as transfer_to and the assistant connects you.

Will they try to keep me?

Usually, with a lower price. The assistant turns offers down unless your constraints say you'd take one below a price you set, and it reports every offer it heard.

What does the call cost?

$1 per answered call, including the first 2 minutes, then $0.40 a minute. A 10-minute call with the menu, the hold and the retention pitch is $4.20.
